Will it work with my car?
If your car starts with a push button and you carry a smart (proximity) key, yes in most cases — BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Lexus, Toyota, Ford, GM, Kia, Hyundai, Nissan, VW, Jeep and more. It does not work with cars you start by turning a metal key, or with Mercedes / VW keys that plug into a slot on the dash. Send a photo of your key on WhatsApp and we’ll confirm before you order.
How is it fitted?
The small circuit board inside your current key moves into Onyx. Any key shop or locksmith does it in about 15 minutes, usually for a small fee. If you’re handy, the included fitting guide shows you how.
Is it as secure as my original key?
Yes. It uses your car’s own original chip, so it talks to your car with exactly the same codes. Nothing is reprogrammed, copied or cloned.
Do I need the dealer to program it?
No. Because your original chip goes inside, there’s no dealer programming.
What happens to my old key?
Its chip moves into Onyx, so the old shell is left empty. Keep your spare key as your backup.
How do I charge it?
With the included USB cable, like a phone. The battery icon on the screen shows when it’s time.
Which finish should I pick?
Same key, same features. Silver is the classic, blue and red match bold paint, black disappears into a dark interior.
Will keyless entry and push-to-start still work?
Yes — exactly like your original key, because it is your original key’s chip inside.
How long is delivery?
Usually 7–12 business days to the USA, UK, Canada and Australia, with tracking emailed as soon as it ships.
What if it’s not for me?
